How We Got Started

In September of 2004 a small group of six believers began to meet on Tuesday nights in Pastor Frank and his wife Cindy's home. The small group grew from six to forty. As God continued to bring people in, the need to find a bigger location to meet grew. God, through Big Apple, provided us with another meeting place. Our Tuesday night meetings changed to Sunday morning worship as we continued to grow both spiritually and in size. When that place was no longer available, Gods perfect timing and provision was there we began meeting in the former Lewis House. Now we meet in the historic Lumbard Hall on the north end of the Clinton Village Green.

Our Mission and Vision
Mission- We live to connect people to God. We are on a mission to glorify God by fulfilling the great commandments and the great commission so that unchurched people come into a personal, transforming relationship with God.(Matthew 22:37-39; John 13:34-35; Matthew 28:18-20)

Vision- We have a vision to be a healthy body of Christ that is developing relationships, communicating truth in love, and applying God's truth to all aspects of our lives.(Ephesians 4:11-16)
Our Core Beliefes

We believe that these core beliefs are essential to the Christian faith, and shall be used as a test for full fellowship with and support of other churches and organizations.

A. Scripture
Scripture in its entirety originated with God. They are infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts, and are the full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice.

B. God
There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

C. Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. In His death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission.

D. Holy Spirit
He (the Holy Spirit) enlightens the mind and hearts of sinners so that they can recognize their need for what Jesus has done for them. Then at the point at which they accept God's free gift of salvation, the Holy Spirit comes into the individual, transforming their lives by making them spiritually alive to God.

E. Man
God created man in His own image for fellowship with Himself.

F. Salvation
Salvation is the deliverance from the penalty of sin, which is death and separation from God, and the promise of eternal life with God. It cannot be achieved by any thing that man can do, but is provided solely by God as a free gift through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's Son.

G. The Family
God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.

H. The Christian and the Social Order
All Christians are under obligation to seek to make the will of Christ supreme in our own lives and in human society. Means and methods used for the improvement of society and the establishment of righteousness among men can be truly and permanently helpful only when they are rooted in the regeneration of the individual by the saving grace of God in Jesus Christ.
